Has anyone looked into the possibility that Robert Franco Rivera might have had connections in Oxnard that weren't disclosed to his family? It strikes me as odd that he sent a letter from there in '63, but by '77 no one had heard from him in years. Was he possibly living a different life or involved in something that led him to cut off contact with his family? Given Oxnard's proximity to Los Angeles, could he have gotten involved with something in the city? Sometimes people start over for reasons the family never understands or knows about, especially during those decades. Just throwing ideas out there that might help fresh eyes look at the case differently. What do you all think?
Hey Sleuths,
I've been digging into the Robert Franco Rivera case from Oxnard, and I keep coming back to this gap between 1963 and 1977. It's strange how he vanished after a letter in 1963, but then isn't reported missing until 1977, right? I've read theories about people who "disappear" because they just didn't want to be found, but it doesn't sit well with me given the era and the significant time gap. I'm curious—was there a specific event in '77 that prompted someone to report him missing after all those years? Could there have been a change in family circumstances or maybe new information that came up?
If anyone has insights or any leads they haven’t shared, I'd love to hear more. This case has so many open questions, and I feel like there has to be something in that 14-year silence worth exploring. Keep digging, everyone!
Hey everyone, I've been delving into the baffling case of Robert Franco Rivera, who went missing back in 1977, but his last confirmed contact with his family was in 1963! What's puzzling me is the 14-year gap between his last contact and when he was reported missing.
Does anyone know what might have prompted his family or authorities to finally classify him as missing in 1977? Did they assume he was just living his life without wanting contact, or was there an event that triggered renewed concern at that point? Given that he stayed under the radar for so many years, I wonder if there were any significant life events in 1977 that caught their attention.
It's so intriguing yet so tragic to think about how someone can just vanish off the face of the earth for so long. Any insights or theories on this would be appreciated!
