Hi everyone,
I’ve been following Nancy Kay Tharp’s case for a while now, and I keep thinking about the birthday cake she went out to buy for Ryan. The timing of her disappearance seems so specific and haunting—it was right in the middle of preparing for such a joyful occasion for her son. I wonder if there was anything unusual about the bakery where she intended to go or if it was a familiar place she had visited before without issues. Did she regularly shop there, and if so, did anyone at the store notice anything unusual that day? It’s odd that a routine errand led to such a complete mystery. I hope law enforcement revisited the bakery employees or any nearby stores to check for eyewitness accounts. It's frustrating how such a small detail could hold so much weight in a case like this.
What do you all think about the area she was last seen in? Was Brooklyn Park a neighborhood with a lot of foot traffic back in the '70s, or more isolated? Wonder if that might help us narrow down what could have happened.
Let’s keep this discussion going and maybe bring new attention to Nancy’s case. Any fresh eyes might offer something valuable!

I recently stumbled across Nancy Kay Tharp's missing persons case from 1977 and was wondering if anyone else found it odd that not even the smallest clue turned up when she went to buy a birthday cake for her son. It's like she just vanished into thin air right in the middle of the day! Does anyone know if there were any eyewitness accounts from the bakery or nearby stores? Seems like an area where someone would have noticed something, right? It's baffling that no details came out from such a public scene. Would be great to discuss theories or any snippets of info that might have surfaced over the years but didn't get as much attention. Keeping fingers crossed that something breaks soon in this mystery.
