Has anyone looked into the bus routes or transportation options from Fleischmanns to NYC back in 1978? ? Given that Sophie Hull might have wanted to visit her son, it seems possible she could have tried to board a bus or find some other means of getting there. I know there weren't as many transportation records kept from back then, but maybe someone local or familiar with transit history might have insights? It's been so long, yet this might at least provide some clue or lead about her intended route that day. Also, has there been any focus on people she might have interacted with while taking such a journey? Considering her mobility challenges and dementia, someone might have offered assistance or noticed her during their travels. Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated!
Has anyone looked into the possible connections with other disappearances from that era around the wider Catskills area? It's been puzzling me—was recently reading about a few other people who went missing in upstate New York around the same time as Sophie Hull. Not saying they're linked for sure, but maybe there's a pattern or common denominator that hasn't been considered. Especially noteworthy with Sophie’s dementia, could she have been picked up by someone with bad intentions? Sometimes these small overlooked details can lead to big breakthroughs. Just a thought! Curious to hear if anyone else has done any digging or has insights on the other cases from the 70s in that region.
