Scrolling through old missing persons cases, I came across the mystery of Alan Leroy Carl again. It's intriguing and sad how little information there is about his disappearance. I was wondering if anyone knows whether there were any attempts to revisit his case with newer technology or investigative techniques? It seems like DNA can be a real game changer nowadays, but it doesn't seem like Carl's case has seen any recent progress despite his DNA being on record.
Also, I was curious about the role his history of alcoholism might have played. Did law enforcement ever look into whether he might have gone into a rehab facility or shelter during that time? It was the late 70s, so I imagine record-keeping was much more limited compared to today. I’m hoping someone might have insights or ideas about avenues that haven’t been explored yet.
Has anyone come across information about the specific areas in Duluth where Alan Leroy Carl was last known to spend time? I've been trying to piece together a timeline, but details seem almost non-existent. It intrigues me how there appears to be a total absence of even the smallest leads from such locations that could have been integral to his daily routine. Any thoughts on why certain spots around town might hold significance or any backstory about places he frequented? Even speculation could be helpful in generating new theories or possible connections.
