Hey everyone,
I've been reading up on Phillip Freeman's case, and something's been on my mind. Does anyone else find it unsettling how so many cases from 2005 in Montgomery County are still unsolved? I was looking through some old news articles, and it seems like there was a spike in violent crime around that time.
Do you all think there was something specific happening in the area back then, or is it more about the resources that law enforcement had (or didn't have) at the time? It's tragic to think that so many families, including Phillip Freeman's, are still waiting for answers after all these years. I hope bringing more attention to these cases will encourage anyone with knowledge to come forward. There must be someone out there who knows something. Would love to hear what you all think!
Is anyone else troubled by the number of unsolved cases in Montgomery County during 2005? Phillip Freeman's murder is just one of many that are still open, and it's frustrating to think of all the families left without answers. It's like this cloud hanging over Dayton, reminding us of all the violence that year and the lack of resolution. I can't help but think about Phillip's family and how they must feel seeing his name on the cold case list with no closure.
I've been following these cases and noticed that the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation works to give them visibility. But it makes me wonder, with all the resources and the focus on these cases, what's still missing? Could it be a critical witness who hasn't come forward, or maybe new technology that needs applying?
If anyone has any other insights or knows of any initiatives that might help push these cases forward, I'd love to learn more. Keeping these stories alive is important—it feels like the least we can do for Phillip and others like him.
