I was reading about Welhelm Mevs’ disappearance, and something that really strikes me is the location they found his truck—near his residence. It makes me wonder if he intended to come back home for something or someone, or if someone familiar might have been involved. This was in the early '80s, so I assume investigating technology was not what it is today, but it seems odd that the truck being so close to his house didn't lead to more clues. Did any neighbors report anything suspicious, or were there any sightings between his home and work? Also curious if there's been any follow-up with people who lived around there at the time. If anyone local has insights, it might be worth discussing.
