Does anyone else find it odd that everything Jan owned was just left untouched? I mean, if someone decides to start fresh somewhere else, you’d expect them to at least take some personal items or cash, right? It’s puzzling that his vehicle, belongings, and even financial accounts were abandoned. It makes me wonder if something happened around October 1985 that forced his sudden disappearance. Maybe the timeline holds more clues than we realize. Has anyone looked into his acquaintances or any unusual behavior before he went missing? Perhaps those who knew him might have noticed subtle warnings. Thoughts?

I've been digging into Jan's disappearance, and something about the timeline doesn't add up for me. If Jan was last heard from in October 1985 and reported missing in January 1988, that's over two years with no contact. I'm curious about what happened during that time—did anyone try to reach out to him before the relatives reported him missing? It's also odd that everything of Jan's was left behind seemingly untouched. Did he have any known associates in Juneau who might shed some light on his whereabouts after 1985? Just seems strange that there was such a long stretch before his case came to light. Thoughts?
