I came across Russell Earl Gray's case from Big Spring, Texas, and one detail that really caught my attention was his unique tattoo. Having the letter "R" inked on his left thumb seems like something that might not be super common. I'm wondering if anyone with a similar tattoo or even someone who got inked by the same artist around that time could hold some kind of clue or connection. Tattoos can sometimes be a recognizable feature, and while it’s a long shot, maybe someone out there remembers seeing or hearing something about it. Also, what local tattoo artists were operating in Big Spring back in the '80s who might have insight into this? Just trying to explore all avenues here. Any thoughts?
