I find it odd how Darrell "Tex" Ehmke didn't report Judith missing until two weeks after she vanished. That's a long time for someone not to notice, especially when their own children were concerned enough to mention it at school. You'd think if a spouse just up and leaves with no trace, reporting it would be a priority, right? And that typewritten note he provided always seemed suspicious to me. If Judith was planning on leaving him, wasn't it likely she'd notify someone close about it? The delay seems like a red flag, especially considering his later criminal record. Just my thoughts—something about this case has always bugged me. Anyone else feel the same?
I recently stumbled upon Judith Ann Ehmke's case and it's been really nagging at me. What’s puzzling is the typewritten note Judith supposedly left behind. A lot of people back then probably didn’t own typewriters, right? How common was it for someone to have access to one in 1986 Ashland City? I mean, if it truly wasn’t Judith who typed it, who had access to a typewriter to potentially fabricate this note? I wonder if the authorities ever verified where it could've come from or if it matched any typewriter they had access to. It sounds like such a small detail but it could be a clue to unraveling what really happened to her. What are your thoughts on how much significance should be given to that note?
