I was reading about James Johnson's case, and something that's really been sticking with me is the timeline between when his mom last visited him and the phone call on Christmas. Why such a long gap? I wonder if there were any signs during her February visit that things were off or if there might have been people he mentioned in LA that could have given more insight into his daily life back then. It seems like that 10-month window is crucial for figuring out what led to his disappearance. Has anyone come across any more personal testimonies or info from people who might have interacted with him in that time?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the disappearance of James Johnson for a while, and something has been bugging me about the timeline. James told his mom he was living in Los Angeles when they spoke on Christmas Day in 1986. Has anyone ever confirmed this? I haven’t found much info about where he was staying in LA or who, if anyone, might’ve seen him there around that time. For someone with mental disabilities, moving around without a support network could’ve been really tough. It's odd that his last known sighting by family was almost a year earlier, in February 1986. Does anyone know if he had any connections in Los Angeles or if the area where he said he was living had been searched thoroughly? Just trying to piece together what his life might’ve looked like then. Any thoughts or new info to share?
Has anyone else looked into sightings of James Johnson in LA around Christmas 1986? I've been going through old news archives and spotted a few mentions of a man fitting his description panhandling near the bus station during that time. It's a long shot, but considering his mental disabilities, he might've been struggling with his living situation. If anyone has access to old local reports or remembers anything odd from that area, it could be worth checking out. Just trying to see if there might be a tangible lead here. Thoughts?
