I've been following Malakai Teaupa's case, and it's just so tragic. One thing that really caught my attention is how the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in a seemingly residential area. I've read that it's not uncommon for such violence to occur where people should feel safe. It just doesn't sit right, thinking about the fear it must bring to the neighborhood residents. Imagine living near Orange Avenue and waking up to such devastating news. My heart goes out to Malakai's family and neighbors who have to deal with this reality. It makes me wonder about the community outreach and support available in Long Beach. Does anyone know if there have been any meetings or vigils held for Malakai? Any increase in patrols or community policing efforts? I think it's crucial for the community to come together during times like these, both for healing and to push for change.
