I recently came across the case of Collins and found it really intriguing, especially the part about Caffey taking Collins’s Toyota pickup back to Florida with all of Collins’s possessions still inside. It just sounds so sketchy to me! Has anyone else thought about why he would do that if Collins was supposedly just sightseeing? It seems strange that Caffey would drive the truck all the way back to Florida if Collins intended to return. Plus, why didn’t Caffey leave his belongings in Colorado? It just doesn’t add up to me. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
I've been puzzling over the fact that Collins supposedly wanted to visit the Grand Canyon again. For a guy who was really into mining and knew about the terrain, does anyone else find it strange that a return trip to the Grand Canyon would be a priority when he was already on a gem mining trip? It just doesn't add up for me. Especially considering he'd already been there years before. Could this have been a cover story for something else? Why did Caffey, of all people, organize this trip and then end up driving the truck back with all of Collins's stuff? So many holes in this story! Also, does anyone have more info on why Collins’s brother got money from the life insurance policy? Could there be more to that family angle? Just trying to piece together what motive Caffey might have had if he really is involved like the police suspect.
