I recently stumbled upon Wilson Sam's case, and it got me thinking about how many older cases, especially those involving Indigenous individuals, seem to slip through the cracks. While there might not always be malicious intent, I feel like there could be overlooked cultural understandings or community connections that might help shed light on these cases. For instance, has anyone looked into traditional places he might have visited or gatherings around that time? I'm not from the Duluth area, so it'd be interesting to hear from locals or historians who might know more about locations that were significant to Indigenous communities in 1988. Sometimes, I think understanding the broader cultural and historical context might offer new perspectives or potential leads. What do you all think?
