I've been diving into Joan Bernal's case recently, and I noticed something that's been gnawing at me. Why did Gilbert Bernal choose a bus station in Oklahoma of all places to drop Joan off? Given the time it would have taken to drive there from their last known location in Joliet, Illinois, it just seems like an odd choice. Wouldn't there have been options closer to home if Joan truly wanted to return? The logistics of it are unsettling, almost like it was planned to create confusion or distance any potential investigation. Maybe there’s some piece of local knowledge or some connection Gilbert had to that specific area that we’re not aware of? It just seems like a piece of the puzzle that has a few too many missing pieces for comfort. Thoughts?
