I've been thinking a lot about the condition of the boat motor Edward Labrie and Shirley Klemgard had on that fateful day. It's pretty concerning that family members mentioned it was having issues before they set out. Could it be possible that the motor gave out on them while they were in a tricky spot on the lake, leading to them getting lost or stranded? I know Lake Ontario can be quite unforgiving, especially if you're stuck without power. Did they have any experience with handling such a situation, or were they depending on that motor more than we might assume? It's mind-boggling to think such a seemingly small mechanical issue could have contributed to their mysterious disappearance. Perhaps more attention should be given to examining any repair records or recent maintenance that boat had before the trip. Thoughts?
