Hi everyone, I can't stop thinking about the community's role when it comes to missing persons cases, especially young ones like Shirley Yamileth Aguilar-Cruz who disappeared earlier this month in Houston. We often hear that public help is crucial, but how many of us actually know what steps to take if we think we have information? It feels like there should be more awareness campaigns on this. Does anyone have tips or advice on what to do if someone thinks they have seen or know something that might be important? I'm just trying to wrap my head around how we, as everyday citizens, can best help in these situations. Every second feels important, so any advice or resources that anyone can recommend would be incredibly valuable. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Shirley Yamileth Aguilar-Cruz, the 16-year-old girl missing from Houston since October 10, 2023. I recently came across info that her case is in the Texas Missing Persons Clearinghouse. This makes me hopeful because they've had success stories before, and it usually means they are using significant resources to bring her home. It's reassuring to know that authorities are really prioritizing her case. I just hope people keep spreading the word. Her photo and details need to be everywhere, the more eyes, the better! And let’s keep supporting her family too—can’t imagine how tough this is for them. If anyone's local to Houston, maybe organizing a search party could be a good idea? Just thinking out loud here. Stay safe, everyone, and please share if you can.
