Hey everyone,
I've been absorbed by Diane Augat's case recently and wanted to discuss something I came across that really stuck with me. I read about the severed finger found at the intersection of U.S. 19 and New York Avenue. I can't stop wondering why hasn't this clue led to more answers? It seems like such a concrete piece of evidence. Did law enforcement ever consider using more advanced forensic techniques, like newer DNA technologies, to try and uncover more about how it got there or who might have been involved? It's strange to me that this significant piece of evidence hasn't helped pinpoint anyone or lead to new leads. I'm just thinking out loud here, but I can't shake the feeling that there might be more to uncover with this clue that we don't know about. Would love to hear other thoughts or insights on this part of the case.
