I’ve been following the case of Danius W. Johnson for some time now, and I’m really curious whether his mental health records from before he went missing were ever accessed by investigators. I’m wondering if any incidents or interactions around the time leading up to August 1998 might provide clues? Schizophrenia can complicate discernible patterns in behavior, especially if he wasn’t on his medication, so perhaps someone spotted unusual behavior around the time of his disappearance. Additionally, with his movement around different shelters, maybe fellow residents saw or heard something worth revisiting. Has there been any local outreach or involvement in the community, perhaps by groups working with the homeless or mental health organizations who might have had prior contact with him? It's baffling how cases like this can go cold for so long without any significant breakthrough. Would love to hear anyone's thoughts or theories on this.
I was going through some older missing persons cases recently and came across Danius W. Johnson's. He was last seen way back in 1998, and I couldn't help but wonder if anyone has any theories about where he might have gone after leaving the shelters. Given that he was struggling with schizophrenia and wasn't on his meds, I wonder if there were particular places he frequented or people he might've sought out at that time. Was there ever a group or organization in Madison back then known for helping those with similar struggles? Sometimes, even years later, someone might remember something small that could be a significant piece of the puzzle. Thoughts or memories, anyone?
