I've been following Yvonne Katharina Belcher's case, and something has always stood out to me that I haven't seen many people discussing. It's the sighting by the friend early in the morning. If Yvonne was really walking towards Florida Route 16 at daybreak, what was her plan? That area could be pretty isolated at times, and it just makes me wonder if she was meeting up with someone or trying to get somewhere specific.
Does anyone know if there were any businesses or locations that would have been open around that time back in 2000? Maybe she was trying to reach a place she felt safe or familiar with. I keep thinking there might have been something along Route 16 that meant something to her, and it's an angle that hasn't been looked into enough. Any locals have more insight on this? It's sad that we're still searching for answers after all these years.
