I can’t stop thinking about the night Michael A. Mills was taken from us. It’s been over 11 years, and yet the tragedy that happened on Victor Avenue still resonates with me and many others in Dayton. I recently passed by the area and couldn’t help but think about how his life ended near a bus stop in such a terrible manner.
There’s a sense of frustration knowing that a community effort is still needed to piece together what really happened. We often hear how even the smallest detail can crack a case open, and this is one of those times where every little bit counts.
To anyone who might have seen something that night, remember that your tip could make all the difference. We owe it to Michael and his family to help bring closure and justice. Let's keep this conversation alive and continue pushing for answers. ?
It’s been over a decade since Michael Mills was taken from us, and yet I can’t help but think about the role community fear might play in cases like this staying unsolved. I’m sure there are folks in Dayton who remember that night vividly. Maybe they noticed someone acting oddly around the time of the shooting, or heard rumors that could point investigators in the right direction. I get that it might seem intimidating to speak up, especially after all this time, but Michael deserves justice, and his family deserves to know what happened. I really hope someone with that vital piece of the puzzle contacts the police or uses Crime Stoppers to share what they know without fear of retaliation. Let’s hope that by keeping Michael in our thoughts and conversations, we can bring some light to this long shadow hanging over his loved ones.
