Hey everyone, I recently came across the case of Jose Reynaldo Trochez, and something about the situation with his missing persons report is really puzzling to me. It seems his family didn't report him missing until ten months after he was last seen, and I'm curious about why there was such a delay. I understand that in some cases, families might think the person will come back on their own or they might not know the process, but ten months is quite a long time. Does anyone know if there have been similar cases where the delay affected the investigation, or maybe situations involving transient individuals like Jose? Just thinking that the authorities might have had a better chance of finding him if they'd been alerted sooner. Any insights or similar stories would be appreciated.
Does anyone else find it puzzling that Jose Reynaldo Trochez was seen at a business on South Union Road just before he vanished? I'm trying to figure out if there's any significance to that location. Why would someone experiencing homelessness go there? Was it just a routine stop, or could there be more to it? Maybe it's a known spot where people gather, or perhaps he had a specific reason to be there before potentially heading to Charlotte. I'm curious if anyone local to Gastonia or familiar with the area back in 2003 remembers anything about what businesses operated there or if they have any theories about this aspect of his case. Any insight could help us piece together what happened that day, especially since this seems to be one of the last concrete pieces of information about him.
