I recently came across the case of Ernest Schmidt, and something that's been on my mind is the fact that he left behind all his personal belongings. If he really intended to go for a swim, wouldn't he have at least taken something with him, like a towel or perhaps a key? It's curious, because most people wouldn't leave everything behind, especially if they didn't plan on returning soon. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but this detail really stands out. Has anyone else looked into similar cases where personal items were left behind? It's just strange considering how meticulous some folks are about their belongings.
