Hey everyone, I’ve been digging a bit more into the McIntyre case and something struck me as odd. I can’t stop thinking about those postcards he sent to his family from Padre Island. Why postcards? And why from there? It just seems like such a specific choice, almost as if he wanted to prove he was really there. Has anyone else come across cases where missing persons sent postcards like that before disappearing completely? It feels like such an analog way to communicate in 2007. Just wondering if there's more significance to this that we’re overlooking. Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
I stumbled across McIntyre's case while browsing through some old missing persons reports, and one thing that really piqued my interest was the actual distance between Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Padre Island, Texas. It's quite a significant drive—around 600 miles or so, depending on the route taken. For anyone to make that journey, especially if they're experiencing chest pains as McIntyre reportedly was, seems really concerning. I can't help but wonder how he managed to drive all that way, and if anyone along the drive witnessed anything unusual. Has anyone ever looked into gas station or highway camera footage from that time to verify his route or condition during the trip? It's a nagging thought because those chest pains could have been a warning sign, and I hope his Jeep might hold some kind of clues. What do others think about this aspect of the case?
