I've been following Corey's story and something that hasn't been discussed much is the impact of his military service on his mental health. It's often overlooked, but veterans can experience a lot of trauma that might exacerbate conditions like schizophrenia. Corey served in Bosnia and Kuwait, which were intense environments. It's hard not to wonder if his experiences there contributed to his struggles later in life. It makes me think more attention needs to be paid to the mental health of veterans to prevent situations like this from happening. Has anyone else looked into how his service might have affected him?
