Has anyone else looked into the possibility of Thomas Duesterhaus having connections or friends in the Virginia Beach area? I know he was last seen swimming there, but the bag being left on the beach makes me wonder if he had plans to meet someone. Maybe someone in his Catholic or lay community knew he was heading that way. I'm curious if anyone has come across any information about him having contacts in the area or if there’s been any effort to reach out to local groups or organizations he might have been involved with. It's odd that his car was in Rosslyn yet he ended up in Virginia Beach; it's like there might have been a plan he never spoke about to anyone. Thoughts?

His 1999 blue Buick LeSabre was discovered in a parking garage near the Rosslyn Metro station, but it was parked there on June 17th, the same day he left for Virginia Beach. Has anyone thought about how he might have traveled from Rosslyn to the beach? It's almost a three-hour journey, so I'm curious if he took public transport part of the way or if someone else met up with him and drove. I wonder if there's any CCTV footage from the garage or nearby transit stations from that day. Could unraveling his movements in those hours give us more insight into what happened next?
