Has anyone looked into the timeline discrepancies between when Jared was last seen and when his truck ran out of gas? It seems odd that he was seen purchasing a soda in Jerseyville at 11:45 a.m. but his phone last pinged in the Centralia area around 9:30 p.m. the same day. That's a pretty big time gap with not much distance in between. Given that his truck was found abandoned and out of gas two days later, I wonder if he might have been driving around for hours or if he met someone along the way who derailed his plans. The reports of him being seen walking and knocking on doors make me think he might’ve been trying to find his way back or reach out for help. It's puzzling why none of the surveillance cameras from stores or gas stations along the way captured his movements. Could there have been a reason why he went so far off his presumed route? Something doesn't fit right in this timeline.
I've been following Jared Edward Hanna's case and something that stands out to me is the black shoulder bag found in October 2011. A wallet and personal items being discovered over three months later and 1.5 miles from where his truck was abandoned is a bit perplexing. Could he have been trying to leave a breadcrumb? Or did someone move his things? It's strange that the bag was so far from the road, almost like it was intentionally placed there. I wonder if authorities considered the possibility of someone else being involved who might’ve known the area well enough to hide it there. It could mean someone was with him, or maybe it was staged much later. Anyone have thoughts or similar cases where discovered belongings provided more clues?
