I've been digging into Frances Blanche Groves' disappearance, and I think there's an interesting angle with James Franklin Phye that hasn't been thoroughly explored. After they moved to Palm Springs, both found work with a wealthy family. This detail makes me wonder what kind of influence or connections this family might have had. Did the family ever comment or assist in the search? Considering how high society circles can sometimes close ranks, could there have been more to their silence? Also, it's odd that after Frances disappeared, Phye moved to Las Vegas and assumed a new identity. Plus, the fact that he left a note before his death in 1996, but its contents were never revealed, seems really suspicious to me. What if that note holds some crucial information? I would love to know if anyone has insights on whether the authorities ever followed up with the household where they worked or if additional details about the note have come to light in recent years.
