Does anyone else find it odd that Charles Bolter's truck was left with the keys still in the ignition? If he intended to disappear on his own, you'd think he might take the keys with him or park somewhere less obvious than along Highway 132. It just seems like such a strange detail to me. Almost as if someone wanted to make it look like he walked off into the unknown. I mean, wouldn't it make more sense for someone in a distraught state to abandon the truck in a more secluded spot? Maybe there's more to this location choice than we're seeing. Anyone have thoughts or similar cases where vehicles were left like this?

Has anyone ever looked into whether Charles Bolter might have had any enemies or conflicts with people outside of the robbery incident? I know the robbery itself was already traumatic, but I'm wondering if there might be more to the story. A cattle rancher like him could've had disputes over land, livestock, or even business dealings that we just don't know about. It seems like a dead end with the robbery being the focus of the investigation, but I can't help thinking there might have been other pressures in his life. It’s so strange that nothing solid has surfaced all these years, not even rumors of sightings or anything like that. Maybe someone local from Waterford remembers something that wasn't reported or thought to be connected back then? Cases can be so much more complex than they appear, especially when it seems like no stone has been left unturned. Anyone have a different theory?

Has anyone else been curious about the location where Charles Bolter's truck was found? Highway 132 isn't exactly a high-traffic area, especially back in the '70s, I'm assuming. Could there be something significant about that specific spot? Was it just a random choice to ditch the truck, or does it suggest something more? Perhaps it's a place he was familiar with or felt connected to. I've been thinking about whether there's any history or significance to that stretch of road that might offer clues. Would be interesting to hear if anyone local or familiar with the area has any insights on that.
