I find it so puzzling that Eileen Francis Hynson left her suitcase behind when she went missing. It just doesn't add up, especially when she was planning to attend a bridal party dress fitting. If she was headed to Benicia, why wouldn't she take her things with her? I wonder if she truly planned to stop by Lake Berryessa that day, and if so, if someone she met there might have played a part in her disappearance. It seems strange that she would detour to a resort before something as important as a dress fitting unless there was something significant at Lake Berryessa. Could there have been someone waiting for her, or maybe a spontaneous decision that turned out badly? This case really has me thinking about all those little details that just don't seem to match up. Thoughts?

I've been digging into Eileen Francis Hynson's case recently, and one detail that keeps sticking out to me is her goal to reach Lake Berryessa before heading to Benicia for the dress fitting. Has anyone else thought about why she would have gone to the resort first? Was it a planned detour just to relax, or could there have been someone she intended to meet there? It's such a specific pit stop that seems out of the way for just a dress fitting. Also, I've read some discussions about the area around Lake Berryessa having some shady characters back in the 70s. Could there be a connection between her stop there and her disappearance? Does anyone local to Napa have more context on what the resort was like back then, or if it was known for anything in particular during that time? Just trying to brainstorm what could have happened that afternoon and hoping someone might have fresh insights.
