Remembering Jeffrey Daymude - Anyone Familiar with Minton Park in the 70s?
Hey everyone, I've been engrossed in the Jeffrey Daymude case lately, and something that's been on my mind is the location Jeffrey was headed to: Minton Park. Does anyone here have any insights or local history about that area around 1978? Was it common for people to go there with their dogs? I've read that it was one of the last places tied to his whereabouts, and it got me wondering if there might have been anything unusual going on around that time or place. Any old-timers or fellow history buffs with memories of that period and area? It feels like an understudied aspect of the case, and I keep thinking there could be something crucial we're missing about Minton Park itself. Would appreciate any thoughts or memories you could share!
I came across a curious detail about Jeffery Daymude's disappearance that got me thinking. According to reports, his dog was found alone in northwest Palm Bay three days after Jeffery was last seen. What puzzles me is how the dog ended up so far from Minton Park. Does anyone know if the dog was familiar with that area or if it had a habit of wandering off? It's just strange that the dog turned up without any sign of Jeffery or his car. Could this indicate that foul play was involved? Maybe someone unconnected to Jeffery took the dog there, or perhaps there's some other explanation. The dog might hold a clue to his disappearance, and I wonder if any further investigation has been done on that angle. Any thoughts?
I find it so puzzling that Jeffery Daymude's car has still not been found after all these years. I mean, a 1964 dark blue Chevrolet isn't exactly inconspicuous. You would think that at some point it would have turned up somewhere, even if it was just parts at a scrapyard or abandoned. It's sad to think about his dog being found but not him or the vehicle. I wonder if the search radius for the car was comprehensive enough back then? Especially given that the dog was found in northwest Palm Bay days after Jeffery went missing. I've read that cars sometimes pop up in hidden places, like lakes or thick woods, even years later. It would be a huge breakthrough for the case if they found it somehow. Maybe someone out there who was around during that time still remembers something – even a small detail about that particular car or any suspicious activity in the area. It’s crazy how certain critical pieces of evidence can just vanish like that.
