I’ve been diving into old case files of missing persons, and Robert Carr's disappearance in 1979 has always baffled me. Something that hasn't been discussed much is the placement of the debris — found at the 14-mile bank near Huntington Beach. Has anyone looked into ocean currents and how they might have influenced where the boat—and possibly Robert—could have drifted? It seems like tracking the currents from Norm's Landing might provide more clues. I wonder if any oceanography experts have been consulted back then or even recently. Maybe it’s time to re-evaluate the search zones? Curious to hear thoughts or to see if anyone on here has experience or insights related to maritime search efforts or ocean current patterns.

Has anyone come across information about Norm's Landing back in the late '70s? I'm curious about this spot where Rob Carr was last seen. It seems like a pretty busy area for fishing, and I'm wondering if anyone remembers any unusual activity from that time. It's strange how a place that's bustling can also be where someone just vanishes. Maybe someone who used to fish there or knows the area well might recall something odd from around November '79? Even the smallest detail could make a difference after all these years.

I was reading up on Robert Carr's case again, and something's been bugging me. Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on November 20, 1979, the day he went missing? I know Southern California has pretty consistent weather, but the ocean can be unpredictable. Maybe there was a sudden storm or freak waves around the time of his trip? It might not provide all the answers, but it could explain why his boat was found off course near Huntington Beach. If anyone has access to historical weather data or any insight on maritime conditions back then, it might help piece together this puzzle a bit more.
