I was recently reading about Roger Peter Kaempf's case and can't stop thinking about how room 207 at that hotel on East Franklin Boulevard holds so many unanswered questions. Imagine being the housekeeper who discovered him—finding something so terrible during a normal workday would be traumatizing. It makes me wonder if anything seemed off to hotel staff or guests before that day. Was anyone seen acting suspiciously? Did anyone report strange noises from that room prior to his death? If anyone recalls any unusual activity, no matter how trivial it might seem, it could be the missing piece that finally gives his family peace. Every small detail can make a difference in cases like this. If anyone has memories or knowledge from back then, please share it with the Gastonia Police.
