I’ve been following Alkia Rogers' case for some time now, and it just weighs on my mind how little closure her family has had over the years. What stands out to me is the intimate nature of the crime. Given the brutality, it feels like there must be some strong, personal motive behind it. It hurts to think that someone she might have known and possibly trusted could be responsible for such an act. I keep coming back to why DNA from the scene didn't match anyone, even the father of her child. Is it possible that the person responsible was meticulous enough not to leave substantial trace evidence? I also wonder about the items she was supposed to collect—could they have been a ruse? It's imperative that justice is served for Alkia and her family, but it seems like there must be someone out there who knows something crucial. I really hope one day they find the courage to speak up. Her family deserves answers.
