It's been a while since we talked about the Kenneth Allen Daily case. I was scrolling through some old posts and found it strange that nobody really touched on the fact he left without his wallet. I mean, what 16-year-old goes anywhere without it, especially if he's planning to make a trip from Washington to California? You'd think he'd at least need some kind of ID or money for that. I've also been curious - does anyone know if there were any attempts to trace his steps through public records, like bus tickets or anything like that? Not having his wallet makes it seem less likely that he purchased a ticket himself, but maybe someone could confirm if he ever did make it to California. Just thinking out loud here, but it's odd that after all these years, there's so little to go on. Maybe the focus should be on who he might've met if he really did leave for California. Thoughts?

Has anyone looked into the theory that Kenneth could have disappeared to join a religious commune or a similar group? The mid-1980s saw a lot of young people getting involved with various movements and groups, some of which operated off the grid. It's possible he could have been influenced by something or someone, especially during those impressionable teenage years. I've dived into some local accounts from the time, but nothing concrete about any specific group pops up. I'm curious if anyone else has come across info on unconventional communities in California or nearby that might fit this timeline and might've attracted someone like Kenneth.
