Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about how compassionate Evan Garber was and how his strong sense of justice led him to intervene that night. It really speaks volumes about his character and the kind of person he must have been. As unsettling as it is to think about what happened, I can't help but feel for his family and friends who are reminded daily of both their loss and Evan’s courage.
Something that gets me is the location of the crime – it happened in a neighborhood restaurant where people go to feel safe and enjoy a meal, not encounter violence. For the staff and the patrons who were there that night, it must be traumatic to revisit that place. It’s a testament to Evan’s bravery that he stood up in a moment of crisis in a space he loved. I’m sure he was loved dearly by those who knew him at the Kwan Chow Kon Ghee Noodle House.
If anyone has any updates or thoughts on how we might keep Evan's memory alive while also helping to push for justice, I’d love to hear them. This case is too important to be forgotten.
