I stumbled onto Douglas Joseph Bensimon's case recently, and one thing that's been bugging me is the missing wallet and keys. It's so odd that he'd leave behind his car but take those. Could it mean he intended to go somewhere on foot or maybe meet someone? Or maybe it was staged to make it look like he left voluntarily? I feel like there's a small piece of this puzzle that's just out of sight. It’s disconcerting how the passage of time has buried this case deeper into the unsolved pile. Was there ever any mention in the case files about unknown fingerprints or evidence found in the house? Someone out there must know something. It just feels like the smallest lead could unravel so much. Thoughts?
