It's so upsetting when you think about how cases like Stéphan Gauthier's might have been impacted by the technology we take for granted now. I was reading some older articles, and it struck me how quickly those crucial early days of an investigation went by without any of the tech we have now. Imagine if today's forensic tools were available back in 1982... DNA analyses could have provided leads, or possibly even solved the case back then. I know the cold case unit is working hard, and it gives some hope that maybe DNA or other modern forensic methods can still play a part in finding answers. Even though so much time has passed, it would mean a lot not just for his family, but for the whole community that’s lived with this shadow for decades. My heart truly goes out to Stéphan's family, and I can’t even begin to imagine their pain. It's painful to think of the lives impacted and how family members have carried this with them all these years. Let’s keep praying that justice will eventually be served, no matter how long it takes.
