I've been digging into Tammy Leakey's tragic case, and one detail that really sticks out to me is the beige trench coat. The witness account described the man who forced Tammy into a red car wearing it, which seems like a pretty distinctive detail. In 1981, a beige trench coat wasn't overly common, maybe something a professional or someone wanting to appear as one might wear? It feels like such a specific piece of information that might lead somewhere if it was looked into more deeply. I'm aching for Tammy's family and the Pointe Saint Charles community, who’ve had to live with this mystery for so long. Why hasn't this particular lead yielded more results? Could the coat have been a disguise, or was it a regular part of the perpetrator's appearance? Sometimes, seemingly small details like this can connect other parts of an investigation or jog someone's memory. It’s hard not to feel frustrated. I hope that by keeping these conversations going, we’ll eventually bring some closure to those who knew and loved Tammy.
