Hey everyone, I'm new to the thread and came across Augustine Gomez's case recently. Something that struck me was the delay in reporting him missing until 2012. I can't help but wonder what factors might have contributed to this. It's really intriguing, and honestly quite puzzling. Could it be possible that there was some assumption within the family that he was just off starting a new life somewhere? Or perhaps there might have been family dynamics at play that made them hesitant to involve law enforcement initially? It's further complicated by that strange 1999 sighting in Phoenix, which seems like such a huge lead that unfortunately didn't go anywhere. I'm curious if there have been similar cases where missing persons weren't immediately reported, and how those eventually unfolded. It's such a long time to not have any answers. Any insights or similar cases you might know could shed some light on this?
