I’ve always been curious about the strange development with James Welter’s car. It was found with another person claiming they bought it through a salvage bond. That man must have known something or been connected somehow, right? It feels odd to me that the car just happened to end up in someone else’s hands without making a bigger splash in the investigation. Did they ever look deeper into who this guy was? Seems like whoever had the car could hold crucial info about Welter’s last movements or what might’ve happened to him. I wonder if any of you have seen similar scenarios in other cases? Could it be a lead that was overlooked? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Just heard about the disappearance of James Michael Welter, and the aspect that really piques my interest is the whole situation with his car. It's so weird that his blue 1978 Ford Grenada ended up with some random guy claiming he'd bought it through a salvage bond. How does that even happen? And did this "buyer" give any useful information about when and where the purchase happened? It seems like there would be a paper trail or some lead there. Or could the car have been stolen and then somehow ended up in a salvage lot without any questions asked? If anyone has details on how that part of the investigation unfolded, I'd love to hear more. It's such an odd piece of the puzzle that might hold more clues than it seems.

Has anyone looked into the idea that James might not have left on his own accord? Something about his car being found with another person driving it under a "salvage bond" feels off to me. Wouldn't someone trying to disappear intentionally want to keep their car or at least ensure it's left somewhere inconspicuous? I keep coming back to the possibility that his disappearance after posting bond wasn't entirely his decision. What if someone took advantage of his vulnerable state after the accident and arrest? Maybe it's a long shot, but I wonder if anyone's considered or investigated this angle thoroughly? There could be more to the story than just him wanting to start over in Shreveport.
