I've been deeply thinking about the possibility that someone from the Canadian military could've been involved in the tragic deaths of Diane and Mario. The location near CFB St. Hubert has always seemed too significant to overlook. Given that people stationed there would have had easy access to weapons and were trained in their use, you'd think this lead would have been more rigorously followed up on. Besides, with how shocking this case is, you'd expect someone in the area back then to have seen or heard something suspicious, especially near a military base where activities are usually carefully monitored. The lack of witnesses or even circumstantial evidence pointing in this direction is perplexing. I wonder if any personnel records or logs from that time were ever cross-referenced. We owe it to Diane, Mario, and their families to consider every angle, even ones that seem daunting to investigate. It’s hard to imagine the eternal pain of not knowing who took your child away in such a senseless manner. And they deserve peace and answers after all these years. My heart goes out to everyone touched by this case.
