Every time I read about Lise Choquette's case, I'm struck by how crucial those first days after the discovery must have been. One thing that stands out to me is the location where Lise's body was found. The construction site on Autoroute 440 seems like such a busy place, yet no one saw anything? It makes you wonder if the perpetrator knew the area well enough to take advantage of a specific moment when the site was less active. I can't imagine the anguish her mother, Emelide, and the rest of Lise's family felt when they learned where she was discovered. It must be incredibly difficult to imagine all these potential witnesses around and yet have seemingly no one with any information or memories that might have helped give some direction in those crucial early moments of the investigation. The community must have been in shock, knowing a killer was among them, and it's tragic that time hasn't yet allowed Lise's family to find the closure they so desperately need.
