I recently dove deep into the Beverly Lynn Smith case, and I found myself really struck by the role the local community played. Given how small Raglan was, I can only imagine how this tragedy affected everyone. What must it have been like for Alan and Linda Smith, being asked by Doug to check on his wife, only to stumble upon such a horrific scene? I know there’s been some debate around their involvement over the years, but it can’t have been easy to be entwined in such a dark chapter of the town’s history. It just makes me feel for Beverly’s family even more, knowing that their world was turned upside down—and knowing some in their close-knit community were caught in the turmoil as well. Has anyone come across any local perspectives on how Raglan processed this tragedy over the decades?
