Was anyone else struck by the discovery of just a single oar on Burrows Island? It's such a small piece of evidence, but in a case with so few answers, it seems significant. The location makes me wonder if the currents were stronger than anticipated that day. Were there any reports of unusual weather or currents in that area back then? It's chilling thinking about how something so simple like an oar might be the only tangible trace of what happened to Keith, Mitchell, and Anthony. If anyone has local knowledge or insights about the conditions around Fidalgo Island and Burrows at that time, it might shed more light on what the boys faced during that fateful trip. Also, I can't stop thinking about Keith's congenital hip condition. Could that have influenced their ability to navigate or survive that day?
Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the day Keith, Mitchell, and Anthony went missing? I was reading about their disappearance and started wondering if unexpected storms or high winds might have played a role in what happened. It seems like such a small skiff could have easily run into trouble if the weather turned bad. I haven’t found much info on what the weather was like in that area on January 25, 1986, but maybe someone here has more insight or knows where to find historical weather records from that day? Anything that could shed light on their last known location would be helpful. It's puzzling that only an oar was found, and I'm curious about possible environmental factors that could have contributed to this case.
