Hey all, I’ve been following the Joyce Marie Scarbrough case for a while now, and something sticks out to me that I wanted to get your thoughts on. We know that Kathi Scarbrough was the one who insisted on revisiting her mom's death and requested the exhumation. It's hard to imagine the strength she must have had to push for that, especially with her ex, Cesar Barone, being such a terrifying figure. It's interesting how her persistence seemed to be the driving force behind re-evaluating her mother's case. I can't help but think about how this aspect highlights the critical role family members can play in ongoing investigations. Even though it didn’t lead to a definite conclusion in Joyce's case, it proves how vital it is to keep questioning and seeking answers. It’s a testament to her love and determination to seek justice for her mother despite the lack of closure due to the lack of evidence. Does anyone else feel that family involvement can sometimes be the most powerful tool in cold cases? And do you think authorities should place more emphasis on such leads, even when revisiting a case after so many years?
