I’ve been following the tragic case of Jomiltron Sentell Fair Jr., and it really got me thinking about the traumatic impact on those 15 students who were already on the bus that morning. Witnessing something so horrific at such a young age can change a person forever. I hope the school is providing significant support and counseling for those kids. They need a safe space to process what they saw and felt, and to have adults they can talk to without judgment or fear. It’s important for the community to rally around these young witnesses too, not just the family, and show them love and understanding. The ripple effect of such a tragedy is far-reaching, and support is crucial for healing.
