Does anyone else find it weird how Curtis "Cochise" Smith was supposedly just standing in the rain, waiting? It seems off. His friend saw him with an umbrella, claiming he was waiting for his boss to bring him money. But who exactly was this 'boss'? Did anyone else try to verify his identity or confirm if this exchange was even scheduled? It seems strange that in a small town setting like Plaquemine, nobody else noticed someone wandering around in the rain or questioned why Curtis was doing so. And if that boss was supposed to show up, why haven't we heard more about them in the investigation? Seems like a key piece missing from the puzzle. ?

Does anyone find it odd that Curtis, aka "Cochise," was last seen standing outside in the rain waiting for his boss that night in '91? I'm wondering about how close he was with this boss. It seems peculiar to me that someone would be waiting in bad weather for money unless there was a strong sense of trust or desperation involved. Also, considering the suspect later linked to a 2002 murder, it seems like there could be more here in terms of relationships or shady dealings. Has anyone looked into connections between Curtis and his boss or other associations that might shed light on why this meeting was so significant? It's been over 30 years, and yet this detail still sticks out like a sore thumb. Thoughts?

Has anyone looked into the weather reports from the day Curtis "Cochise" Smith disappeared? I find it really intriguing that he was spotted in the rain holding an umbrella. It might sound odd, but understanding how heavy the rain was that day might give us clues on visibility or even how busy the area around the store was with people trying to get indoors. If it was too rainy, maybe fewer people were out and about, which could be why there were no other sightings of him after that time. Or perhaps if he was waiting for his boss, the rain could have delayed their meeting, giving more time for something to go wrong. Also, if it was raining heavily, evidence left at that time might have washed away or been harder to notice. Just some thoughts that might help us piece together more of what happened that evening.
