It's really hard to comprehend how a vibrant community like Durham could experience something so tragic while staying stagnant in terms of justice. Jamarcus Valentino Umstead and Rarnisha Woods, two young lives full of potential, were taken from us back in April 2009. It's haunting to think that whoever is responsible is still out there. I can only imagine the agony their families go through every day, hoping for any piece of information that might bring some closure. I was wondering if anyone remembers any unusual activity in the area around University Drive back then? Sometimes even the smallest detail can make a big difference. It's been years, but cases have been solved with less. If you know anything, even if it seems insignificant, please contact Durham CrimeStoppers. There's a reward, and your information could be the key to bringing peace to two grieving families. Let's rally together and be the voices that Jamarcus and Rarnisha no longer have.

Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Jamarcus Umstead and Rarnisha Woods, and my thoughts are with their families during this unimaginably difficult time. One thing that strikes me is how the sense of safety in their community was completely shattered. To think that such a horrific event could happen in their own apartment, a place that should feel safe and secure, is truly unsettling. I’m wondering if there’s been any update on potential witnesses in the area that morning. It’s a fairly busy part of town, so it seems like there must be someone out there who saw something. Even the smallest details can sometimes lead to a breakthrough, and I really hope Durham CrimeStoppers receives the tip they need to solve this case. My heart goes out to anyone who knew them, and I hope justice will come soon. If anyone hears anything or has any insights, please share. Every piece of information matters. Stay safe, everyone.
