I've been following the Forest Grove case closely and something that really keeps me awake at night is the emotional weight this must have for the friends and family left behind. I can't even begin to imagine the ripple effects of such a loss on their community. With so many lives lost at once, and across three generations, it feels like an entire part of this family’s history and future was taken away in an instant. Stella, Linsey, and Alvin were so young. There was so much life ahead of them, so many dreams to be fulfilled. And to think about Rowan and her mother, Mary Elizabeth, it's devastating to imagine the pain and fear they must have felt in those final moments. It's hard to wrap my head around how a place once filled with memories and love is now marked by tragedy. I'm reflecting a lot on the importance of checking in on loved ones, even when things seem fine on the surface. My thoughts are with their extended family and friends who are undoubtedly struggling with such an overwhelming loss. It’s crucial for communities to come together in times like these, to provide support and help each other heal. If there’s anything positive to take away, maybe it’s the reminder of how important love and togetherness are in our lives.
