I've been thinking about how devastating it must have been for Cheryl DeLeon's family when everything came to light about how she lost her life. Being ambushed in your own driveway, a place you should feel safest, is just unimaginable. It makes you wonder about the years of trauma her loved ones have had to work through, knowing she was taken so violently by someone who had been lurking in the shadows, watching her. I can't help but hope they found some semblance of peace or comfort when Elroy Chester was finally brought to justice. The resilience it must take to move forward while carrying such pain speaks volumes about their strength. My heart truly goes out to them.
